TAPPING INTO COMMUNITY

Wanneroo Christmas Lunch

The combined churches of the city of Wanneroo run a free lunch on Christmas Day for all those in need of company on this special day.

The combined churches of the city of Wanneroo run a free lunch on Christmas Day for all those in need of company on this special day. A hot roast lunch is served to the guests and each guest is given a gift. We sing carols and celebrate the birth of Christ together.

Mayor Tracy Roberts is the patron of the lunch and the lunch is organised by a volunteer committee with the help of a wonderful team of volunteers who come to the Wanneroo Showground two days before Christmas Day to set up and make the Margret Cockman Pavilion look welcoming and festive.

Carramar Uniting Church is a founding member of the Wanneroo Christmas Lunch Committee. We have about 300 people attending and it is wonderful day where strangers welcome each other and share the day.
